PCS DWP Wigan Area Branch represents members of the Public and Commercial Services Union who are employed by the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) within the Metropolitan Borough of Wigan.
Our branch covers 4 main locations:
- Ashton-in-Makerfield Jobcentre
- Leigh Jobcentre
- Makerfield Service Centre
- Wigan Jobcentre
Our membership is around 90% of the total DWP workforce in the Wigan Borough.
We also work with external providers such as Wigan & Leigh College, Union Learn, GM Fire Service and more to provide learning opportunities for members through events like learning at work day and pension courses.
Our branch union learning reps can provide you with details of a range of free skills courses available within the area and more.
There's also the Young Members Network and Workers Beer Company festival volunteers.
